But I want to give birth at home. Do I need a flight case?

Yes! Even with a planned home birth, it is smart to be prepared. Sometimes medical care is needed during or after the birth. If you have to leave quickly, it is nice if everything is ready. No hassle. Just grab and go.

Also remember to prepare an extra bag

You may also want to consider packing a second bag, in case you have to stay in the hospital for a few days after giving birth. This way your partner can easily pick it up. Pack extra clothes, toiletries and anything that will make your stay more pleasant.

When contractions start or your water breaks, you don't want to have to think about socks or charging cables. By preparing your hospital bag in time, you can already take away a worry. That gives you peace of mind. And space in your head.

A nice task for partners

Let your partner pack the bag (or do it together). That way, he knows exactly what is where, what else might need to be added, and what is important to you. It is a simple but valuable way to contribute to a smooth start. And during labor? Then he knows exactly what to pack without having to search.

Make sure your bag is ready to go at 36 weeks. That way you'll be prepared if your baby comes a little early.
